Cat Doors - a Healthy Cat Should Have its Own Pet Door

It's not unheard of - there are actually some pets who synch their body rhythms with those of their owners. They wake up almost around the same time, snuggle up close when watching television, sit quietly when the owner is updating her Facebook status. They way they stick to such a routine, even a feeding time, can be amazing. They are more than just potty trained, in a manner of speaking. When bored they do not scratch the furniture indoors. They could be holed up in your home all day and they won't mess your house up, in rebellion. Okay, now it's time to wake up to the real world of cabin-fevered pets. You can't keep you cat holed up in your house for days on end. You need cat doors to let do as they please. If you won't do this, your cat is going to be doing some unpleasant things while in your house - unpleasant things that could be avoided.

Potty accidents - yes, cats can do that, deliberately

Although some cats enjoy being indoors because of the timed pet feeder and nearby potty station, some are just plain bored out of their wits. So even though the potty station is just there, expect them to pee at the base of the couch, in your laundry basket, on your study table, and into the exhaust fan of your computer.

The claws all over their territory, which is actually your home

You can probably start a list of scratch things - curtains, shelves, the couch, chairs, and so on. If you happen to be a collector of items or have some paintings hung on your wall, be ready to see scratches on them. if you leave soiled dishes and uncapped catsup bottles, you may find them rummaged and broken, or tumbled over and spilling on your carpet. Maybe you could avoid all these migraine-inducing nightmares with a pet door?

Books dropped from shelves, and other items that break

You should consider yourself fortunate if only drop from your shelves. You could have an expensive or treasured vase or memento that could shatter. We tend to keep these things on our shelves, which a cat might just climb up on especially when they're bored. That's the annoying part - that curiosity has a price and you have to pay for it, along with all the clean up you need to do.

When you're home - you're the butler

But when you're home, even after you keep cleaning up after them, you still have to keep letting them in and out of the house. Why must you do that? Because that cat expects you to do so, and besides who else will do it? If you don't' let your pet out, you could end up with annoying meowing for hours on end - and toppled over items. Of course, when they want to get back inside, who else is going to let them in? Why, the butler of course - you.

You can be spared of the trouble, the clean ups, the annoyance, the noise, the broken items, the scattered personal belongings, the pee-smelling indoors if you start thinking about buying cat doors.
