Opening your home to a bird will bring lots of happy days, but is also a huge undertaking. Equipping the bird room properly is key to a happy, healthy bird. Here are the top three essentials that every good bird room should have.

Proper Housing-Do your research first. Some birds enjoy living together in pairs or groups, some do better living alone. Some get along with other birds, and some not so much. Be sure to find out from a breeder or veterinarian which type of housing is best for your bird and provide a space that fits your birds' needs. Being aware of what kinds of things your bird will need before you make a final decision will avoid regrets later.

Oversize the space you provide for your bird so that they have enough room to spread their wings without hitting and possibly damaging their wings. The more space you can provide, the happier your pet will be. And a happy bird will constantly reward your generosity with loyalty and affection.

Toys for Emotional and Physical Health-Just like people, birds can get bored. They need toys to stimulate their interest.
