Pet Fence - Because Physical Fences Cost a Lot

Andrew wanted to keep his dog safe, so he had been considering the cost of a fence around his home - whether it would be cheap enough to build it and install it himself. One high enough so his dog, a hyperactive but happy Labrador, Sheepshank, wouldn't want to scale. Sheepshank has a habit of pulling back and trying to vault his bulk up and over Andrew's garden fence.
There's an open space beyond that garden fence, a spot where Sheepshank and Andrew used to kill lazy afternoons together. But now the space is gone, bulldozed and excavated in prep for low cost housing. But Andrew still wanted to go there.

Physical fence, renters, and zoning rules

Andrew is lucky he owns his own home, because had he been renting, he would not be able to make substantial physical changes to his property. He would also not be able to build a physical fence if he lived in an area with zoning rules. What could be stopping Andrew?

Time and the cost. If he's to install a fence around his home, he'll need to selectively purchase the materials (and do some comparison shopping before that) and also the tools to be used to bury the fences into the ground.
Contractors could also be hired to do all of the work. Besides, will Sheepshank be okay with this, with being fenced in like a convict? And that's after spending a lot for all of it.

A way around these impediments, at cheaper the price

An invisible pet fence is way around these. It's involves a device that broadcasts radio signals through a wire your lay around a marked perimeter inside your property. These wire you bury with a garden shovel just a few inches underground. You can pat the ground afterwards.
You will need no digging or hammering tools.
You'll have no contractors to spend on.
Once the wires have been buried you need to connect it to the broadcast unit in your home and plug it in.

Should the dog stay there or continue to try and get out, the tone shifts into a static correction. You're to train your dog to respond to these stimuli by pulling back and staying inside the perimeter. By not wanting to get that annoying shock, your dog will be accustomed to not barking at all.

Andrew bought and set up all by himself the new invisible pet fence around his home. He's going to recommend the same set up to his cousin, who rents and cannot install a physical fence despite being a contractor by profession.
