One of the most fascinating subjects for your camera is your pet dog or cat. Of all photographers' subjects, animals rank second to children as the most rewarding things to shoot. In order to make this job a little simpler for you, just use your everyday photography techniques together with a regular camera with adjustable shutter and stops.

If you can capture your pet's face and cute expressions in clear detail, you can make your snapshot a picture. Angle your camera and move closer to its face, filling the frame. Doing this is not a problem if you have a big pet. Although you are using a fixed focus camera, you still have to get close to its four feet.
