Pet Emergency Decal
The Utility of The Invisible Dog Fence
Whether you're a dog enthusiast or a first time dog owner, you have probably come across a runner before. These dogs are called runners; they have owners, but they chose to run away, not being aware of the danger. These dogs aren't dangerous, as they have an owner and they just have fun outdoors; many of them are victims to car accidents because they don't know how to behave when left alone. We all want our dogs to have as much freedom as they possibly can, but don't let your energetic canine companion become prey to the dangers of the outside world. Now, due to technological research, you have the option to offer your dog an illusionary freedom, while keeping it safe from harm. This option is best known as the invisible dog fence.
You must install this fence in the area surrounding your dog's playground and also attach a collar at the neck of the dog, that is connected with the sensors of the fence. This collar can become active whenever the dog gets near the periphery of the area and signals this through a beeping sound. If the dog still doesn't listen, and get closer to the immaginary fence, the collar will trigger a mild shock. This is one of the best training methods you can use to teach your dog not to run away anymore.
The major issue most people have with these fences is that they believe the shock the collar gives their dog is inhumane treatment. Yet, there is a great difference between the first versions of this device, invented back in 1971, and the modern invisible dog fence. The shocks administered by the dog collar are mild but annoying; they don't hurt your dog, but draw its attention. It doesn't harm the dog at all; it simply startles your pet. Most of the collars used come with a setting for the intensity of the shock and owners are encouraged to test the collar out for themselves before placing it on their dog. Wearing such a collar is definitely a better idea than allowing your dog to run freely on the streets.
It's been many years now since dog owners have enjoyed the benefits of the invisible dog fences. Buying a dog fence is definitely worth the price, as you won't have to worry about your dog running away again. Your dog will be happier than ever that you allow him or her to play and frolic in an open area where they can see everything around them. As a dog owner who really cares for its pet, the dog fence is one of the best things you can do for it. You won't regret it.
