(@adamholisky), senior editor at WoW Insider, will be your host today._
I'd be willing to bet all the gold on my toons that in the next two years,
we're going to have an in-game pet that looks suspiciously like our little
yellow friend here ...
**ZodiacDragons asked:**
_Everyone is always talking about how Pet Battles is like Pokemon, but how
much of Pokemon is going to actually be in it? Will pets have typing? Will
certain attacks be "super-effective?" Will different pets have different
Abilities that they can bring to strengthen the rest of the party? Will there
be defensive type moves?
I keep seeing that it's going to be like Rock Paper Scissors but that sounds
boring cause there is no real strategy behind that. Just pick a move and hope
luck smiles upon you. I understand that Blizzard doesn't want rare pets to be
all-powerful, but it would be nice build teams around a strategy._

Pet Sounds $22.10 If you need some pointy-headed pundit to sell you on the merits of Pet Sounds, your money might be better spent on an ear specialist. Brian Wilson's gift to 20th-century music elevated this pop album into a beguiling musical and emotional cogency that still operates outside pop culture's fickle space-time continuum--and limited critical lexicon. There's never been another record to compare (Rubber... |

Pat Metheny Group $10.34 Having crisscrossed America to the tune of 250 to 300 one-nighters a year while getting their sound and repertoire together, the Pat Metheny Group struck gold with this self-titled jazz-fusion classic in 1978. All the familiar components that have defined their evolution over the last 20 years are in place on Pat Metheny Group: the leader's dark, reverberant electric guitar sound and graceful ac... |

The Best Of Pete Townshend: Coolwalkingsmoothtalkingstraightsmokingfirestoking $13.98 For awhile there, ol' Pete had a pretty nifty solo career going. Who Came First, his 1972 solo debut, sidestepped comparisons to the Who by tackling spiritual themes with low-key charm, qualities that resurfaced on Rough Mix, his wonderful 1977 duo record with Ronnie Lane. Then came Empty Glass, which was both grand and successful, like peak Who. From then on, Townshend's been mostly grandiose and... |

Pete's Dragon [VHS] $4.48 Disney loved to mix live action with animation (Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks), but this 1977 effort falls on its face. The turn-of-the-century story concerns an orphaned boy whose only friend is a cartoon monster. While the latter is entertainingly rendered, the rest of the film strains to be enchanting and the cast overreaches in a big way. Not for anybody over the age of ten. --Tom Keo... |

Pete's Dragon (Restored Edition) [VHS] $4.50 This story of a winsome orphan and his guardian dragon features an Academy Award-nominated score and song, Helen Reddy's "Candle on the Water." The combination of a live-action story with an animated figure was innovative in 1977, and the green dragon with pink wings will still charm youngsters today. However, its plot has the boy running from a nasty family to whom he's been sold into slavery, as... |
