Don't Want to Use a Static No Bark Collar?

There are definite solutions to dog with barking problems. The device is called a no bark dog collar and when you purchase one and use it on your dog, the idea is the collar will prevent your dog from barking. The collar sends out annoying stimulations whenever your dog barks - in time the annoyance will not be something the dog looks forward to. Still, even though static collars have not been conclusively proven to be of definite harm to any dog, there are dog owners who may not want a shocking experience for their pets.

Electrical shocks and how it can affect your dog

The shock produced by a static collar is a mechanism no different from two others - spray and sound; these are the two other types of stimulus a no bark collar releases. Sound uses ultrasonic sound only dogs can hear. Studies seem to support the claim that the static and the spray type are of equal effectiveness in stopping dogs from barking.

There are various videos only showing people allowing themselves to get shocked by collars, to supposedly demonstrate the pain. Often only casually filmed, with shots of family members and friends just about to get shocked with a collar they're holding. The collar goes off when they walk outside the perimeter. Those people could be just over-acting, no matter how candid the claim that none of it was edited.

The level of voltage a static collar actually releases, and this info is hard for some pet owners to believe, is no more shocking that the static one feels after touching the side of a refrigerator and getting a buzz.

The level of shock stimulation can be adjusted

There's also a feature among static or shock collars that allow owners to adjust the level of stimulation a pet in training is to receive. The default setting is calibrated to be the lowest, for safety reasons. Should the dog show signs of getting used to the level, enough to ignore it, then the stimulation level should be increased. You have to observe well at which settings the dog ceases to bark, and keep there for some time. Don't worry because the buzz stops as soon as the dog stops barking.

The spray type collar as a good alternative to static shocks

The fear for one's pet's welfare is often linked to personal experience with shock, that's how some dog owners analyze these bits of information. If you find the foregoing still unconvincing, there's nothing wrong with that. You could always find an alternative no bark dog collar in case you do not want a static type for your dog. It's always a great thing to have many options. The spray or Citronella type, by the way, is just as good as the static type.
