Cat Doors - Because Cats Trapped at Home Develop Bad Habits

It's not unheard of - there are actually some pets who synch their body rhythms with those of their owners. They wake up almost around the same time, snuggle up close when watching television, sit quietly when the owner is updating her Facebook status. Their adherence to a feeding time can be impeccable. These pets are perfectly potty trained. When these kinds of pets are bored, they do not scratch indoor furniture. They don't get bored staying in the house all day. Okay, now it's time to wake up to the real world of cabin-fevered pets. You can't keep you cat holed up in your house for days on end. You need cat doors to let do as they please. If you won't do this, your cat is going to be doing some unpleasant things while in your house - unpleasant things that could be avoided.

Potty accidents - yes, cats can do that, deliberately

Although some cats enjoy being indoors because of the timed pet feeder and nearby potty station, some are just plain bored out of their wits. Expect several recurring potty accidents - even when there's a potty station set up - and try to come to terms that your couch, clothes, and shelves will smell of pee, cat pee.

The claws all over their territory, which is actually your home

You can probably start a list of scratch things - curtains, shelves, the couch, chairs, and so on. Don't expect paintings to escape your cat's claws, along with other items of value on your shelves - they'll be shoved down and topped over and break. if you leave soiled dishes and uncapped catsup bottles, you may find them rummaged and broken, or tumbled over and spilling on your carpet. Could it be that your cat is just mischievous, eternally bored, and have nothing else to do?.

The art of randomly pushing down items from shelves - cat style

If only books fall down from your shelves, consider yourself a lucky pet owner. You may have some expensive or valuable mementos that could get knocked over. We tend to keep these things on our shelves, which a cat might just climb up on especially when they're bored. Cats want to explore, and although some cats explore to find a nice snug-fit space between books, some will just keep climbing and dropping things.

When you're home - you're the butler

But when you're home, even after you keep cleaning up after them, you still have to keep letting them in and out of the house. All because your cat wants to get out and you are to let it out of the door. Cats will meow all night and jump on you if need be. Later, when they want to come in, they meow non-stop, because you're the butler.
