Flea Products - 3 Shopping Tips That Work
Various flea products are available, but not all of them deliver as promised.
Some are better than others, or at least some are more popular than others. If you're looking for flea products to use on your pet, here's a quick guide to help in you out.
Don't stick to one online shop. The quickest way to do a search is to use your favorite search engine and type in the keywords.
This will get you to a search results list filled with links. Most of the links lead you to either product description pages with content most like lifted word per word from the product inserts. Not that this is a bad approach, but this is good when you're comparing prices and looking for discounts, meaning you already know what flea products you want for your pet. But if not, the three tips below are to be kept in mind.
Go look for online articles.
If you punch in keywords on a search engine bar, you might as well add in some keywords to get a new search results list. In addition to the set of keywords you use, add another word - article; this will bring your a search results page with links to pages other than brochures and products descriptions (you'll get articles about guides and tips and product reviews). The product review and customer feedback type of articles are useful, especially for pet owners looking for a better product to the current one they're using.
Look up and compare customer reviews.
Some online stores allow customer feedback, meaning whether they liked the product they bought or not, they get a chance to tell the world about it.
Look out for websites that offer only good reviews and glowing five star judgments. The more balance of it-worked and it-didn't-work snippets from customers, the more likely the website's owners are honest about the flea product being sold. When you get a chance to look up online product reviews, do so, as customers are often saying what they do and don't like and these rants and raves may be info you might want to take into consideration.
This may help narrow down your search.
Contact your vet. Although this can be said to be the knee-jerk tip pet owners should give and follow, one misses the chance to learn on his or her own about flea products. Just the same, consulting your trusted vet resolves many of your worries.
Some medications may require that you weigh your dog first, which is handy when you bring your pet to the vet for a check up and consult. Also, there are some medications that may not be giving to pets who are of a certain breed, age, gender, medical condition, and current treatment the pet is currently undergoing.
